Login to steam using a valid steam account and go here:

http://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Using the apikey, you can create a server id and login_token using curl:

curl --data "appid=440&key=#actual key#" https://api.steampowered.com/IGameServersService/CreateAccount/v0001/

Steam will answer with a JSON struct:

{
"response": {
"steamid": "XXX",
"login_token": "YYY"
}
}

Add the following line to the file autoexec.cfg (in the cfg folder – create it if it’s not present):

sv_setsteamaccount YYY

Now the server should spit out something like

Assigned persistent gameserver Steam ID [G-1:XXXX].
