The server  is now a minimal Debian Squeeze running as a XEN appliance. The next step is to set up a http server and a MySQL server for web and database duties.

mumble2.muppfarmen.se is up and running as of now.

tf2.muppfarmen.se is up, but the HLStatsX CE engine is not up yet, since we haven’t set up the database and web portions yet.

Killing Floor will move to another machine on a static IP (hopefully tonight), and tf2 will rise again as a virtual instance on our upcoming XEN based cluster. The upcoming virtualization will take some time, so don’t expect the server up and running within the next week or so.

Also our backup mumble server mumble2.muppfarmen.se will be on hiatus.

There are still a few bugs to iron out, but rest assured that 1.2.3 will arrive soon. The news in this release can be found here.

We have already updated one of our servers to the new release (found a bug as well..). If you want to try the server, make sure that your sqlite database doesn’t have a table named servers_old (which it will if you upgraded from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2). Otherwise the database upgrade will fail. FINALLY they have decided to use ordinary bzip2 compression on the server archive.

This means that an all new MetaMod:Source and SourceMod snapshots are needed until the next version comes along.
