Read all about the new game mode here.
We will host this on tf.muppfarmen.se for the time being.
There is a very useful plugin that takes care of vote kicking when there are admins on the server.
Votekick Switcher disables vote kicking when there are admins with kick privileges on the server. When the server is unattended vote kick is enabled.

Killing Floor recently released a mandatory server update for their summer campaign. In order to update the server you have to ditch the good old hlsdupdatetool and start using steamcmd. Steamcmd requires a steam account, so I created a free one just for this.
Here are some of the steps taken:
- Created a subfolder for the server user, kf-ds
- Downloaded the steamcmd-binary and extracted it into the new folder
- Made a script for updating the server, called kfserver_script, according to the new steamcmd way, in that folder:
login [STEAM_USER] [STEAM_PASSWORD]
force_install_dir [SERVER_ROOT]/kf-ds
app_update 215360 validate
exit
- In the server home folder executed the command
STEAMEXE=steamcmd [SERVER_ROOT]/kf-ds/steam.sh +runscript [SERVER_ROOT]/kf-ds/kfserver_script
Now the server files are downloaded and verified. The binary is still in the System-directory, but they have changed all folder names from lower case to starting with a capital letter.
Starting the server is done using
cd [SERVER_ROOT]/kf-ds/System
./ucc-bin server kf-hellride.rom?game=KFmod.KFGameType?VACSecured=true?MaxPlayers=6
If it starts OK, you can use a init.d-wrapper script that starts, stops and updates the server. That’s how we do it, running the server in a separate Screen. There is more info on the changes over at the Killing Floor wiki.

Apparently SourceMod prior to 1.4.2 contains a nasty security bug, so this update is rather important.
All of our servers have been updated, and tf.muppfarmen.se seems to have gotten some fresh gamedata as well.

Killing Floor has just been updated to include the Twisted Christmas content!
Tripwire continues its long standing tradition of massive free content packs with the Twisted Christmas 2 Content Pack. The features an all new level, Ice Cave, as well as brand new Twisted Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit. But wait – there’s more! Santa is bringing even more gifts – the Winter Weapon Pack, with seven brand new weapons complete with new achievements, free to everyone who owns the game. Returning from last year’s event we have Christmas themed specimens replacing all of the regular baddies, Santa’s Evil Lair, Christmas themed achievements and the chance for those who missed unlocking the special Baddest Santa character last year to grab him this time around.
Our server runs the all new KF-IceCave as well as last years christmas map.
